Deck: The Destiny Tarot

1. Two of Wands (Reversed) – Take care in business; things could fall apart or, at least, become difficult. Property deals may be delayed. Travel arrangements may be blocked.

2. Knight of Pentacles (Reversed) – Lack of foresight may cause a long-term situation to continue. One would rather keep the status quo than take a risk.

3. The Devil – One is trapped by an idea, relationship, way of life, or self-destructive attitude. One shouldn’t blame others and should instead examine their own part in the situation, thus finding a way out.

4. Queen of Cups – Support and affection from a woman surrounded by happy children and loving friends who is most content in her own home. She may be strongly intuitive/psychic.

5. Nine of Wands – There may be high demand for one’s money or attention soon. Resist making major life changes such as moving or changing jobs. Rely on the strength of your character.

6. Five of Swords (Reversed) – One could soon be embarrassed by their failure to do something. Recover your balance.

7. Ace of Pentacles – Money, earned or a gift, may be on the way. Move forward on self-esteem boosting ideas that you are passionate about.

Weekly Tarot: Jan. 12th – 18th, 2015

As I said last week, I am going to do a weekly Tarot reading moving forward, rather than a daily, because I am more likely to stay on track.

Deck: Mystic Faerie Tarot

The Cards:

1. Four of Wands – An unexpected gift from someone who wants to help you on your path.

2. Strength – Look withing yourself to know what needs to be done.

3. Nine of Swords – Fight for what you want and, in so doing, overcome your fears. Things are not as bad as you think.

4. Four of Swords (Reversed) – Take a break. Get some rest. The situation at hand is not going anywhere, but you won’t be able to overcome it if you are exhausted and stressed.

5. Eight of Swords (Reversed) – You feel trapped, but if you take a moment to breathe you will find that a way out is closer than you think.

6. The Star – With rest and patience, you will find your way.

7. Knave of Swords – You are confident & intelligent. Don’t jump in headfirst. Take things slowly, and all will work itself out.

Daily Tarot: January 10th, 2015

I missed a couple of days, as I’m known to do, so I am considering switching to a weekly reading starting next week. I think this method would serve me better.

Deck: Tarot of the Vampyres

1. Five of Skulls – Look at things from a new perspective. Change is needed. Also, be careful of new financial endeavors. Make sure you do your research before taking any drastic measures.

2. Eight of Skulls – Be patient and don’t make any rash choices.

3. The Moon – Take one step at a time and be aware of your intuitions. Trust your instincts.

Daily Tarot: January 7th, 2015

Deck Used: Tarot of the VampyresSAM_1375

1. Strength – Dedicate yourself and find your motivation.

2. Judgement (Reversed) – Stop making excuses. Let go of past failures to allow for future success.

3. Nine of Knives (Reversed) – Stop torturing yourself and learn from your mistakes.

Notes:

I have been trying to work on getting back to a healthy living regimen without luck, thus far. I am going to the gym today with a friend after having fallen off the wagon nutritionally yesterday. This reading really speaks to me about this subject today. I need to not dwell on my past mistakes or all the times I’ve given up because of a little backsliding, and find the motivation to keep going because I will never succeed if I let that hold me back.

Creating New Traditions

Christmas is almost upon us – only 11 days to go before the Man in Red arrives to leave presents for all the excited boys and girls. I am trying to incorporate some Paganism into our family traditions this year. We usually read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve, and I think this year that we will include a couple Yule stories, too. I don’t want to overwhelm the situation by adding too much at once, so I think I will add a little at a time. I’ve found some pretty cute stories online and I can’t wait to share them with the kids.

Welcome

Hi there. I’m not sure how you stumbled upon my blog, but welcome. I’m glad you’re here. Let me tell you a little about me…

I am a solitary eclectic pagan witch. I am almost 36. I live in Eastern Canada with my husband & children. I have been a witch for about 20 years, but I have not been very active. I want to change that and make my spirituality a priority rather than just leaving it to simmer on the back-burner. This blog will be about my journey. The blog is for me, really, and if no one else ever reads it, that’s OK with me. But if you are reading this, feel free to say hello! I love to make new friends.

Blessed Be.
